Mayor Bartlett goes before the Tulsa City Council to present his budget for next year. The spending blueprint tops out at $762 million. That is up from the current year, but less than 1%.

The mayor credits the passage of the Vision renewal tax, earlier this month, with keeping public safety strong. There will be two academy classes each for Police and Fire in FY-17.

City employees will not be getting a pay hike. Water and Sewer rates will increase 19 cents per-day for average customers. (6% for water/9% for sewer). There will be cuts in the mowing cycles for right-of-ways and the nuisance abatement program.

The City Council will have until the end of June to make tweaks to the budget. It must be in place by July 1st.
