The newest Quik Trip opens tomorrow, and it includes the latest innovation from the Tulsa-based company: an in-house kitchen. QT Corporation Spokesman Mike Thornbrugh says all new stores include kitchens, and older stores are being retrofitted with working kitchens. He says gasoline sales peaked several years ago, and tobacco sales have dropped significantly, so expanding food offerings is the next logical step.
Tulsa’s newest store is at 91st and South Mingo. The company now has 700 stores in eleven states.
