Qualifying Tulsa Residents to Receive Tax Rebate

Qualifying Tulsa residents are receiving a $25  rebate for sales tax from the Fix Our Streets Package in 2008. This is the third year for the rebate package, and there are two more years left. The City of Tulsa’s Lara Weber says, if you were eligible in 2012, then you can receive the rebate in 2013.

"The Fix Our Streets package that we voted on in 2008 included a sales tax rebate for certain people who live in Tulsa. One is people who are 65 years old and older. The other is people who qualify for the Oklahoma Sales Tax Refund or the Oklahoma Earned income Tax Credit," says Weber. "The City Sales Tax last for five years from the Fix our Streets Package, and this is the third year we have done it. We will keep offering the rebates through 2014."

You can fill out applications at City Hall or going online to the City of Tulsa website(http://www.cityoftulsa.org/our-city/sales-tax-rebate-form.aspx). You can also call the Customer Care Center (918)-596-2100. The applications are due the 15th of April 2013.
