Architectural plans are almost ready for what will become the new Sheriff Stanley Glanz Law Enforcement Training Center. Undersheriff Tim Albin says a portion of 66th Street North is being opened as an entrance to the facility. It’s designed to be a regional installation for use by law officers from smaller departments who don’t have facilities of their own. The training center will be adjacent to the Tulsa Police Academy in the Cherokee Industrial Park.
A groundbreaking is planned for sometime shortly after the first of the year.
