Tulsa, OK – On today's show, we hear from Michael Bierut, who will appear tomorrow night (the 19th) at a "3rd Thursday" event at the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa. The event begins at 6pm and is free with museum admission. Bierut is among the most celebrated graphic designers at work in America today; he teaches design at Yale, occasionally comments on design for PRI's Studio 360, has won hundreds of awards for his designs, and has works in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, the Library of Congress, and elsewhere. His clients have included MillerCoors, the New York Jets, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Alfred A. Knopf, Princeton University, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum (to name a few). Bierut also appears as a commentator in the recent documentary film, "Helvetica." His lecture at Philbrook is entitled "How To." (You'll find more details at philbrook.org.)
