Tulsa, Oklahoma – On today's edition of StudioTulsa, we speak with Alison Nordstrom, a curator at the George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film. An Eastman House Traveling Exhibition --- called "Seeing Ourselves" --- has just arrived at the Philbrook Museum in Tulsa, where it will be on view through April 26, 2009. "Seeing Ourselves" presents a century of American photographic masterpieces, with some 150 images culled from the acclaimed Eastman House archives. Works range from sweeping landscapes and intimate portraits to family snapshots and war reportage, and among the masters featured in this show are Alfred Steiglitz, Edward Weston, Ansel Adams, Louis Hine, Richard Avedon, Weegee, and many others. As Nordstrom tells host Rich Fisher, the show is arranged in five categories: American Masterpieces; American Faces; America at War; America The Beautiful; and American Families.
