Performance Oklahoma presents The Ying Quartet

Now in its second decade, The Ying Quartet has established itself as an ensemble of the highest musical qualifications, its performances regularly take place in many of the world's most important concert halls, from Carnegie Hall to the Sydney Opera House. At the same time, the Quartet's belief that concert music can also be a meaningful part of everyday life has also drawn the foursome to perform in settings as diverse as the workplace, schools, juvenile prisons, and the White House. Appearing as the guest ensemble of Chamber Music in Oklahoma in the season opening "Founders Concert" on Sunday, October 16th at Christ the King Catholic Church, the Quartet offered a program featuring the Quartet No. 2 in D Major of Alexander Borodin, the Quartet No. 1 “The Kreutzer Sonata” of Leoš Janá?ek and the Razumovsky Quartet in C Major Op 59 No. 3 by Ludwig van Beethoven.

This program airs Saturday, November 19th, 8pm on Classical 88.7 HD-1.
