Performance Oklahoma presents The Miró Quartet and Jon Kimura Parker from OK Mozart

Continuing its mission to offer a high quality music and cultural Festival for Oklahoma audiences, OK Mozart celebrated its 30th anniversary season this past June. Among its offerings, OK Mozart presented a chamber music series featuring internationally acclaimed pianist Jon Kimura Parker, one of America's highest-profile ensembles, the dynamic Miró Quartet and woodwind players from the Amici New York orchestra; the collaborators returning this season having also appeared at the Festival in 2013. Recorded concerts are held at the Bartlesville Community Center and St. Luke's Episcopal Church.

In the first hour of the fourth program of the OK Mozart broadcast series, Performance Oklahoma presents the third concert of the Festival 2014 Afternoon Chamber Music Series offered on June 11th 2014 and featuring the Miró Quartet and pianist Jon Kimura Parker in the String Quartet in E-flat Major, Op 74 (Harp) by Ludwig van Beethoven, and the Quintet for Piano and Strings in E-flat Major, Op 44 by Robert Schumann. And in the second hour, the Miró Quartet play Beethoven's Quartet in C Major, Op 59, No. 3, both performances given at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Performance recordings were made by Tom Lazarus: http://www.classicsound.com/.

Performance Oklahoma is heard each week on Saturday evenings at 8pm on Classical 88.7-1.
