Concert 1 "Song and Dance"

The Brightmusic Society marks its 15th anniversary year of performances this season, its first concert, given on Tuesday, September 26th at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral in Oklahoma City, presenting evocative works by three composers of the 20th century, the Ballad from Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin, Astor Piazzolla's Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, the Sextet in C Major, Op 37 by Ernő Dohnányi and a captivating work inspired by a Korean folk tale by composer-in- residence at Oklahoma City University Edward Knight who offers a fascinating introduction to his Seventh Day of the Seventh Moon. First airing in early November, Performance Oklahoma presents the program as a special encore during Valentine's week!
