Tulsa, OK – The grand experiment is over! About 100-Tulsa Public Works employees are being transferred back to the Parks Department. Mayor Bartlett made the announcement.
The employees were moved to public works by former Mayor Taylor in 2009. Mayor Bartlett says the consolidation is not working.
He also says closed and decrepit recreation centers will be demolished and new facilities built. He says it may not necessarily be a new recreation center. He says it could be a splash pad or something else constructed on the site.
