Parker Trial testimony about to begin

By AP

Mangum, OK – MANGUM, Okla. (AP) Opening statements have been tentatively scheduled for Tuesday in the trial of a former prison warden's wife who allegedly fell in love with an inmate and aided in his escape.

Defense lawyer Garvin Isaacs said Wednesday that opening statements were set as attorneys in Bobbi Parker's case moved closer to seating a 12-member jury. Twenty-two prospective jurors have been selected, and lawyers will use challenges to choose the final 12-member panel.

Isaacs says work will continue Thursday on selecting four alternate jurors for the trial.
