MANGUM, Okla. (AP) A prosecutor says the wife of a former Oklahoma prison warden developed a close relationship with a convicted killer in the months before they disappeared together.

Opening statements began Tuesday in Greer County District Court in the trial of Bobbi Parker, who is charged with helping inmate Randolph Dial escape from the Oklahoma State Reformatory in Granite in 1994.

Assistant District Attorney David Thomas told Parker's 12-member jury that the evidence he will show them will "depict a decade of deception" by Parker, who was found with Dial at a chicken farm in Texas in 2005.

More than 200 witnesses have been summoned by prosecutors and defense lawyers. Parker has denied helping Dial, and Dial also said prior to his 2007 death that he had kidnapped Parker.
