Overturned Tanker Spills Oil into Keystone Lake

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A tanker truck carrying crude oil flipped on a bridge at Keystone Lake near Tulsa and spilled about 5,000 gallons of oil into the water.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the accident occurred at 9:45 a.m. Saturday on U.S. Highway 412 and that 45-year-old truck driver Michael Troy Royster of Shawnee was trapped in the vehicle for about an hour.

Royster was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

The accident was the result of a crash with a car . The car's driver, 20-year-old Gwenuana Dean of Wichita, Kansas was treated and released at a hospital, as was a passenger.

The highway patrol says Dean was driving with a flat tire and was struck in the rear by the truck. The car got hung up on a guard rail and the truck rolled onto a rocky shore area.
