Over Ride

By KWGS News

Tulsa, OK – One-minute: 23-seconds.

That is how long it took the Tulsa City Council to over-ride Mayor Bartlett's veto last night. The mayor had vetoed a ballot question that called for a vote on a change of government to a City Manager form with a weak mayor.

City Councilor Roscoe Turner was the force behind the proposal. He denied it was a council power grab.

The council voted 8-to-one to over-ride the veto. G-T Bynum was the lone no vote.
