On Our Next Broadcast of All This Jazz: Groups Led by Drummers

Dig the next All This Jazz, starting at 9pm local time on Saturday the 9th, right here on KWGS / Public Radio Tulsa. We'll hear all-killer-no-filler music by Clark Terry, George Coleman, Matt Penman, and Marc Ribot, to name just a few. And our 3rd-hour theme, running from 11pm until midnight, will be Jazz Groups Led by Drummers -- and thus we’ll listen to the likable likes of Chick Webb, Tony Williams, Art Blakey (shown here), Jack DeJohnette, and others.
Every Saturday night, both online and over the air, ATJ delivers three hours of recent and classic jazz, across a wide range of styles, from 9 o'clock till midnight. From Chris Connor to Kris Davis, Bill Holman to Bill Evans, Herbie Nichols to Herbie Hancock, and Milt Hinton to Milt Jackson, All This Jazz is delighted by modern (and post-modern!) jazz in its many forms, and we love sharing the same with our listeners.
So, join us! (Also, note that ATJ playlist information can usually be found here, although you'll have to scroll down a bit -- and we also maintain a Facebook page for our show. Thanks.)

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
