Tulsa, Oklahoma – Today, we speak with Machelle Miller Dill and Todd Cunningham, both of whom are involved with the recently established non-profit organization known as Tulsa Project Theatre (or TPT). Cunningham is TPT's founder and manager; Dill, who's also a professor of theatre at TU, is the organization's artistic director. As they explain on this edition of our show, TPT and the TU Theatre Department are collaborating on a production of "Rent" --- the Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning rock opera based Puccini's "La Boheme" --- which opens tonight (Thursday the 14th) at The Joint in The Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa. Dill is directing the production, which utilizes professional actors as well as TU students, and Cunningham is its executive producer.
