One Dead in Tulsa Police Shooting

file photo

Tulsa Police are sorting through the details following the fatal shooting of a man in northwest Tulsa this morning. It happened about 4:30 this morning, in a neighborhood near Highway 412 and the Gilcrease Museum Road.

Officer Jillian Roberson tells KWGS, that officers were dispatched to the scene and found a man with self-inflicted stab wounds.  She says officers tried to get the man to put down this knife. He ignored the commands and lunged at the officers. That is when three officers fired.

It is unclear if the man died of the self-inflicted stab wound or from the gunshot wounds.
