One Dead in Plane Crash

By Associated Press

Oklahoma City, OK – Pilot killed in small plane crash in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Authorities say a small plane crash in the Oklahoma City area has killed one person.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Lynn Lunsford says the pilot of a single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza was killed when the plane crashed Wednesday night near Yukon, about two miles south of Wiley Post Airport. Lunsford says the plane was flying from Lawton to Oklahoma City.

He says witnesses reported that the plane dove straight into the ground.

There were no passengers.

Authorities have not released the pilot's identity, but Lunsford says the plane was registered out of Fort Worth, Texas.

The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
