Okmulgee County Now Under Burn Ban

The Okmulgee County Commissioners have issue a burn ban for Okmulgee County.

Under this burn ban in Okmulgee County it is unlawful for any person to set fire to any forest, grass, range, crop, or other wildlands, or to build a campfire or bonfire, or to burn trash or other materials that may cause a forest, grass, range, crop or other wildlands fire.

Please see the attached Burn Ban Resolution for exact exceptions for road construction, welding, and LPG and natural gas grills.

Anyone caught burning during a ban faces up to a $500 fine and up to year in jail or both.
