TULSA, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has arrested a woman and her passenger after a police chase that reached speeds over 100 mph.
Troopers say the 34-year-old driver sped through a toll plaza on the Creek Turnpike without paying late Sunday night. They say speeds during the chase averaged about 105 mph before the driver crashed into a ditch and fled from the 2007 Chevrolet Impala.
The driver was arrested by Tulsa County deputies and faces charges including eluding, reckless driving, and failure to pay a toll.
The 22-year-old passenger stayed with the car and was arrested on outstanding warrants for failing to pay court fines.
No injuries were reported.
