HOUSTON (AP) — Oilfield services company Baker Hughes Incorporated says the number of rigs exploring for oil and natural gas in the U.S. fell by 11 this week to 1,757.

The Houston, Texas-based company said in its weekly report Friday that 1,382 rigs were exploring for oil and 374 for gas. One was listed as miscellaneous.

Of the major oil- and gas-producing states, the tally in North Dakota was unchanged, but Texas rig count dropped by 10. Oklahoma shut down two rigs while Louisiana added one.

West Texas Intermediate crude closed the week at $100.32 a barrel.
