Oklahoma Republicans were divided during a bitter presidential primary process, but that will likely end in the coming week as delegates to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland are expected to nominate the party's presumptive nominee, New York billionaire Donald Trump.
Trump was not the top choice among Oklahoma Republicans during the state's March 1 presidential primary. He placed second behind Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas with just 28 percent of the vote.
But members of Oklahoma's delegation say they will unify behind the GOP nominee and return to the state with a common goal — to defeat presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in November.
The Oklahoma Republican Party is sending 43 delegates to the national convention that begins Monday. And their roles will help shape the convention's outcome.
