KWGS News File Photo

Authorities say a 24-year-old Oklahoma man died after his pickup truck struck a bridge pier and burst into flames.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Jonathan DeVilbiss of Perry was killed early Sunday after the crash on U.S. 177 near Stillwater. A preliminary report says DeVilbiss' truck left the highway, struck the bridge and caught fire afterward.

The report says DeVilbiss was pinned in the truck for 3.5 hours and was pronounced dead at the scene. The report says he was not wearing a seat belt.
