McALESTER, Okla. (AP) — The trial for a former Oklahoma drug court coordinator accused of embezzling money has been delayed.
Angie Marcum was set for trial Monday in Pittsburg County, but a judge pushed back the case. The McAlester News-Capital (http://is.gd/Mqng2Q ) reports that a status hearing is now scheduled for Sept. 4, meaning a trial could be set for October.
Oklahoma's multicounty grand jury indicted Marcum in 2011, along with former Judge William Layden Jr. and former Assistant District Attorney James Michael Miller.
Prosecutors say the three tried to obstruct an embezzlement investigation into allegations that money from county's drug court program was not deposited with the county clerk.
Attorneys for all three defendants have said their clients are not guilty.
