Performance Oklahoma presents edition 5 of Community featuring the Norman Singers!  Founded in 1979 the Norman Community Chorale Society's intent has been to give the people of Norman and surrounding communities an opportunity to learn and perform all types of choral music.  Performing several concerts each season, the Norman Singers seek to give entertaining and informative programs for community audiences brought together and enriched by song.  The chorale offers a range in the music they perform which includes liturgical works from the great choral tradition, Broadway, jazz, gospel and blues, seasonal holiday carols, songs from diverse musical cultures, madrigals and musical settings of living composers.  Directed by conductor and composer-in-residence Beverly McLarry the volunteer choir of some 35 members meets weekly to share in the many pleasure of choral music.

Tune in at 8 pm on Saturday, September 21st over Classical 88.7.
