OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma City officials say a preliminary damage assessment following storms earlier this week found 812 structures and recreational vehicles either destroyed, damaged or otherwise affected.
A tornado, damaging winds, flooding and hail struck the city Wednesday as strong storms crossed Oklahoma.
The assessment found six houses, 18 mobile homes, three businesses, a church and 68 recreational vehicles destroyed. Another 36 houses, 23 mobile homes, 11 businesses and six apartment buildings have major damage.
A total of 75 houses, 17 mobile home and 11 businesses have minor damage.
The survey found another 537 buildings affected in some way by the storms.
