Oklahoma Authorities Recover Body of Second Missing Boater

KWGS News File

EUFAULA, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the body of a second boater who went missing on Lake Eufaula a week ago has been recovered.

Authorities found the body of 41-year-old Sean McDonald late Friday about 250 yards from shore in McIntosh County. A search crew had recovered 23-year-old James Giles' body on Tuesday in water about 14 feet deep.

The men were last seen this past Saturday leaving the Holiday Cove area on the lake in a canoe.

Authorities say the men were caught in a storm that caused their canoe to tip over and neither had a floatation device.
