Oklahoma AG Arrests Man in Child Porn Case

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma Attorney General's Office has arrested an Oklahoma City man on child pornography charges.

Officials say 39-year-old Stephen Anthony Choate was arrested Friday on one count of distribution of child pornography, two counts of possession of child pornography and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act. Court records did not indicate whether Choate was represented by an attorney.

Investigators say they found alleged child pornography images on two computers at Choate's residence. They were sent to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation Computer Crimes Unit for further examination and to determine the possible identities of victims.

The case was initiated by a Guthrie police officer who investigates the distribution of child pornography over the Internet. Investigators say Choate allegedly distributed child pornography to task force members on several occasions.
