OK Mozart International Festival Chamber Music Series On Performance Oklahoma

Performance Oklahoma presents editions 5 and 6 from the 2012 OK Mozart International Festival Chamber Music series.  In the first hour, devoted to music by Robert Schumann cellist Peter Wiley and pianist Anna Polonsky performt the composer’s Drei Fantasiestucke Op 73 and the Adagio and Allegro Op 70 and mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke and baritone Kelly Markgraf join pianist Orion Weiss to present a duet and six songs.  And in the second hour cellist Peter Wiley returns with violinist Ani Kavafian and violist Paul Neubauer to play the String Trio by Jean Francaix.  Pianist Orion Weiss joins Peter and Paul to offer the alternative version of the a minor Trio of Johannes Brahms and mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke and pianist Anna Polonsky present Im Fruhling by Franz Schubert.  All of the musicians join host Kimberly Powell to offer insightful commentary.
