HOOKER, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says two people injured in a plane crash in Texas County are in critical condition.
The Federal Aviation Administration says a 4-seat, low-wing Mooney had just left the airport in Hooker when it crashed in a field northeast of Guymon about 3:20 p.m. Tuesday.
The highway patrol says the aircraft apparently lost power and crashed about 300 feet east of the runway.
Authorities say the pilot was taken to a hospital in Guymon after Tuesday's crash but was later transferred to a hospital in Amarillo, Texas. The highway patrol says the pilot suffered arm and internal injuries.
The passenger was taken to Amarillo with leg and internal injuries.
