Nordam to Add 300 New Tulsa Jobs

Google Street View

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — An Oklahoma-based aerospace company says it will add about 300 jobs after receiving a contract to build engine parts for Gulfstream business jets.

Nordam says the new jobs are a result of the company's contract with Pratt and Whitney Canada. The Tulsa-based company says the deal with Pratt and Whitney is the largest contract in Nordam's 45-year history.

Nordam now employs 2,500 people at nine facilities on three continents. As of last month, 1,800 of those employees were in Oklahoma.

The company says the new positions will eventually be in place by 2020, with annual salaries ranging from $40,000 to $100,000.
