'No Contest' Plea In Case of Failing to Report Rape

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Three employees of Tulsa's Victory Christian Center have pleaded no contest to failing to report child abuse for waiting to report the rape of a 13-year-old girl. Two of the members will spend time in jail.

Paul Willemstein and Anna Alisa George were sentenced Monday to 30 days in jail and a one year suspended sentence after entering the plea in Tulsa County District Court. Harold Sullivan also pleaded no contest and was given a one year suspended sentence.

Prosecutors say the three and two others knew of the rape by a former church employee who has since pleaded guilty to rape.

John and Charica Daugherty — the son and daughter-in-law of the church's senior pastor — have pleaded not guilty to failing to report child abuse and face trial on May 10.
