TULSA, Okla. (AP) — The Osage Nation says tribal police officers will not be charged in the death of a man who was shocked with a stun gun.
Terry Price died February 20th after being shot with the stun gun as he fought with officers. An autopsy found Price died of cardiac arrest associated with being in a prone position with his hands cuffed behind him. The report also says he had psychedelic drugs in his system.
The Tulsa World reports that Osage Nation District Attorney Rex Duncan said the officers did not use excessive force or inappropriate measures.
Authorities have said Price was at the Osage Casino — where he was banned — when he ran from officers before being caught. The officers said Price fought with them and a tribal officer used a stun gun to subdue him.
