Next Time on ATJ: Outstanding Jazz Albums from 2013 --- Continued!

Please tune in for the next edition of All This Jazz, beginning at 10pm on Saturday the 18th, right here on Public Radio 89.5-1. (We'll also offer, as always, a 7pm re-airing of ATJ on Sunday the 19th on Jazz 89.5-2, which is our station's all-jazz HD Radio channel.)

Each week, we spin modern jazz, both recent and classic...from Geri Allen to Joe Zawinul, from Louis Armstrong to John Zorn. And the second half of our two-hour program always carries a "theme."

For this forthcoming installment of ATJ, the theme at hand is actually a continuation of last week's second-hour subject matter; namely, the theme for our 1/18/14 show will be More Outstanding Jazz Albums from 2013. Thus we'll dig some notable and ever-so-tasty releases from the likes of Jason Marsalis, Craig Taborn (shown here), and Michele Rosewoman, among others.

Also, in honor of MLK Day, we'll hear --- in the first half of our program --- three different jazz tunes composed in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Join us.

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
