On the Next Presentation of All This Jazz: "Jazz Players, Classical Works"

Bill Frisell playing Aaron Copland. The Modern Jazz Quartet performing Bach. The Gerald Wilson Orchestra offering variations on Debussy. And so forth! On the next All This Jazz, starting at 9pm on Saturday the 16th, our third-hour theme (running from 11:00 till midnight) will be “Jazz Players, Classical Works.” And elsewhere in our program, we’ll dig music by the likes of Howard Alden, Jaki Byard, Uri Caine, and The Christian McBride Big Band, to name just a few.
Every Saturday night, both online and over the air, ATJ delivers three solid hours of recent and classic jazz, across a wide range of styles. From Chris Connor to Kris Davis, Stan Kenton to Stan Getz, Kurt Elling to Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Herbie Nichols to Herbie Hancock, All This Jazz is delighted by modern (and post-modern!) jazz in its many forms, and we love sharing the same with our listeners.
So, please join us.... (Also, note that ATJ playlist information can usually be found here, although you'll have to scroll down a bit -- and we also maintain a Facebook page for our show. Thanks.)

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
