Tulsa, Oklahoma – On today's StudioTulsa, we hear from Janet Tharp, a project manager with Fregonese and Associates, the urban and regional planning firm that's been commissioned by the City of Tulsa to help with the creation of a new comprehensive plan. The ongoing effort to draft such a plan --- known as PLANiTULSA --- is an open-to-the-public, once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape the next two or three decades of Tulsa's growth --- and Tharp has been on our show in the past to talk about this effort. In fact, Dallas-based Tharp will be in Tulsa tomorrow night (Wednesday the 23rd) for an Open House event at the Greenwood Cultural Center (322 N. Greenwood Avenue) that's intended to direct the public's attention to the newly completed "Our Vision for Tulsa" document. This document, based on the many city-wide meetings and public-input sessions that PLANiTULSA has presented in recent months, offers --- in writing, and in much detail --- the long-term aspirations for how Tulsa will look, feel, and function over the next 30 years. The event will run from 4:30pm till 8:00pm --- and the public is urged to attend, and to ask questions....
