On the Next Installment of All This Jazz, We Look to...and Lend an Ear to...the Stars Above

Tune in for the next go-round of All This Jazz, beginning at 9pm on Saturday the 7th, right here on Public Radio 89.5 / KWGS-FM (and "live streaming" at publicradiotulsa.org).

From Armstrong to Bird, Dizzy to Miles, and Mary Lou Williams to Vijay Iyer, every ATJ broadcast offers three hours of modern jazz, both recent and classic, across a range of styles.

And we always employ a theme in the third and final hour of our show, from 11pm till midnight. This time out, that theme will The Stars Above, and so will hear such classic jazz themes as "Star Dust," "Star Eyes," "When You Wish Upon a Star," and more. Elsewhere in the program, we'll dig tunes from the likable likes of Jeremy Pelt, Mark Soskin, Charles Lloyd, The Gary Peacock Trio (whose new album appears herewith), and many others.

Join us! If you're a jazz fan, then All This Jazz is all you, my friend.

(Two final points: ATJ playlist information can usually be found here, although you'll have to scroll down a bit...and we also maintain a Facebook page for our show. Thank you.)

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
