On the Next ATJ, Various Jazz Greats with March B'Days: From Bill Frisell to Ornette to Glenn Miller

Tune in for the forthcoming edition of All This Jazz, starting at 9pm on Saturday the 25th, right here on KWGS-FMfor outstanding tracks from the diverse likes of Paul Motian, Tommy Flanagan, Shirley Scott, Glenn Miller, and Bill Frisell (shown here) -- all of whom have March birthdays. Such will be our theme (in the hour running from 11pm till midnight) on this last weekend of the third month.

Every Saturday night, both online and over the air, ATJ delivers three hours of recent and classic jazz -- across a range of styles -- from 9 o'clock till midnight. And elsewhere in our next program, we'll hear from Maria Schneider, Dexter Gordon, David Weiss, Houston Person, and several more.

From Don Cherry to Don Byron, Woody Herman to Woody Shaw, and Geri Allen to Gerry MulliganAll This Jazz is delighted by modern (and post-modern!) jazz in its many forms, and we dig sharing the same with our listeners.

Join us!

(Also, note that ATJ playlist information can usually be found here, although you'll have to scroll down a bit...and we also maintain a Facebook page for our show. Thanks.)

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
