On the Next All This Jazz: "Green" Tunes for St. Patrick's Day

Join us for the next All This Jazz, which begins on Saturday the 16th at 10pm Central on Public Radio 89.5-1. We'll serve up modern jazz, both recent and classic, until the midnight hour --- with standout recordings by Sonny Rollins, Robert Hurst, Emily Remler, Ben Riley, Cassandra Wilson (pictured herewith), and many others.

We'll also offer --- in the second hour of our program --- lots of aurally engaging "green" pieces, in a nod, of course, to the St. Patrick's Day holiday weekend. (Cheers on that score, btw.) Listen for jazz standards like "On Green Dolphin Street" and "Blue in Green" as well as Thelonious Monk's "Green Chimneys" and Dexter Gordon's "Evergreenish" (to name but a few).

It'll be fun --- and it'll swing like mad --- so, hopefully, you'll care to tune in. (Plus, as ever, we'll re-air this show on the following Sunday night, the 17th in this case, at 7pm on Jazz 89.5-2.)

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
