Tulsa, OK – Company bringing 115 new jobs to Tulsa metro area

TULSA, Okla. (AP) An energy and energy-related services company plans to expand its customer operations center in Tulsa, bringing 115 new jobs to the metropolitan area.

Tulsa Metro Chamber officials said Wednesday Direct Energy began housing operations in Tulsa more than 10 years ago and has about 160 workers.

Chamber president Mike Neal and Direct Energy officials say the hiring will support about $7 million in wages in the region. They didn't specify a salary range for the positions, which include customer contract management and training and development..

Officials estimate the new jobs will contribute $14.7 million to the production of goods and services in the area economy annually, and support another $12.5 million in goods and services.

The company will host a career fair on Thursday and on Dec. 6 in Tulsa.
