New Tulsa Jail Administrator Named

KWGS News

The Tulsa County Sheriff names David Parker as Jail Administrator at David L Moss. He will begin his duties on Monday.

Parker brings more than three decades of Oklahoma Department of Corrections experience to the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office. He retired from the DOC as Regional II Director on April 5th.

Parker began his career with the DOC in 1986, as a corrections officer at the James Crabtree Correctional Center. During his 11 years at JCCC, Parker consistently rose through the ranks. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 1996.

The following year he was promoted to Regional Investigator for the Northern Region, where he served until transferring to the West Central Region as Administrative Assistant in 1998, where he served as Construction and Maintenance Unit Supervisor. In 2001, he was promoted to Deputy Warden at Joseph Harp Correctional Center. In April 2006, Parker returned the James Crabtree Correctional Center as Warden. He served in that position until 2012, when he was appointed as Region II Director for the DOC.

Sheriff Regalado says, “David brings a wealth of knowledge and 31 years of experience to TCSO. He is well respected statewide for his accomplishments within the DOC. It’s an honor that he’s chosen to continue his career as our Jail Administrator.”
