Oklahoma City, OK – Fallin appoints 2 to Oklahoma education boards

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Gov. Mary Fallin has announced appointments to the State Board of Career and Technology Education and the Board of Regents for Tulsa Community College.

The governor on Thursday appointed Warner resident Karl L. Meyers to the Career and Technology board and Tulsan Masoud Moazami to the TCC regents. Both are Northeastern State University graduates.

Meyers will serve a six-year term and is replacing Nevyle Cable.

He owns a manufacturing consulting firm and operates a cattle ranch. Meyers has a master's in business administration.

Moazami is set to serve a seven-year term and is replacing Talia Shall.

He is president and founder of Effective Teaching Learning Institute, Inc. Moazami has a bachelor's degree in psychology and special education and a master's in counseling psychology.

The state Senate must confirm the appointments.
