Tulsa, OK – Officials representing the Tulsa Port of Catoosa and a Kansas development agency sign a new partnership agreement.

The City of Tulsa-Rogers County Port Authority and the Kansas Logistics Park Development Authority, signed the deal Tuesday at the Oklahoma Maritime Education Center facility.

The agreement states that both entities believe it's in their best interest to establish a "working alliance" to help develop "trade connections and transportation links" between the port and the Kansas Logistics Park in Newton, Kan.

The agreement will include joint marketing programs, the exchange of data and the sharing of market studies.

The Port Authority's chairman, Ed Fariss, says the deal will help make logistics easier and lower shipping costs for both parties.
