Oklahoma City, OK – Sealed indictments to be opened
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Sealed indictments returned by a multicounty grand jury are scheduled to be opened in district courtrooms this week.
The indictments were handed up Monday following an investigation by the grand jury into the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
A report from the grand jury accuses the office's former chief investigator of criminal conduct. Kevin Rowland resigned as chief investigator in March.
A spokesman for the Attorney General's Office, Charlie Price, says one indictment will be unsealed on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. before Tulsa County District Judge Tom Thornbrugh. That indictment names one person on four counts.
Price says a second sealed indictment will be opened on Friday at 10 a.m. before Oklahoma County District Judge Vicki Robertson. That indictment names one person on one count.
