New Ideas and Findings Regarding Oklahoma Tax Policy

Tulsa, OK – Throughout the summer, members of the Oklahoma State Legislature have been examining various tax incentives and credits that the state gives to business interests in the name of expanding jobs and generating business here in our state. So, what've we learned from examining these incentives and credits? And what changes ought to be made in regard to how this state collects revenue, or how it pays for its government? Today on ST, a detailed discussion of Oklahoma tax policy as we hear from Representative David Dank, a Republican who represents District 85 (Oklahoma City) in the State Legislature. Dank co-chairs the legislature's Task Force on Tax Credits and Economic Incentives as well as its Task Force on Comprehensive Tax Reform. Dank is also among those in the legislature who've recently called for an elimination of the personal income tax in Oklahoma.
