New Grand River Dam Chief

By A-P

Tulsa, OK – TULSA, Okla. (AP) The Grand River Dam Authority's Board of Directors has selected state Rep. Dan Sullivan to serve as its next chief executive officer.

The board offered the position to the Tulsa Republican following a special meeting Thursday in Tulsa.

Elected in 2004, Sullivan has served as majority floor leader for the past year under current House Speaker Kris Steele. He is expected to resign from his House seat before he assumes his duties at the agency on Dec. 1.

A telephone message seeking comment from Sullivan was not immediately returned.

Authority Director Brent LaGere says the board's search committee reviewed nearly 85 applicants.
