Tulsa, OK – Tulsa's New Comer will remain an international school for now. School Board members, like Anna America, wanted to see more research before making a decision.
The proposal was to convert New Comer into a three-and-four year old center and disperse the current --mostly Hispanic - student population into other schools.
Student Sebastian Chavez was among those urging the board to keep the school in its current state. A group of about 30-parents cheered when the board action for more study was interpreted into Spanish.
