Needy Children Receive Bikes

By KWGS News

Tulsa, Okla. – Tulsa nonprofit Bikes for Tykes will help Family & Children's Services brighten the holidays for a few local families. Every year, F&CS partners with Bikes for Tykes to provide bicycles and helmets to some of its clients.
Tina Wells, spokeswoman for F&CS, says this year the organizations will be able to give 180 bikes.
"We are absolutely delighted and astounded at the hard work of Bike for Tykes and the generosity the Tulsa community," she said. "It's many more than we expected, almost double from last year twice as many smiles to put on children's faces."
The bikes will go to families who would not have otherwise been able to afford a bike. F&CS case managers will deliver the bikes to their clients over the next few weeks.
