Murder Trial Gets Underway Way

Facebook

Jury selection is underway in Tulsa District Court in the  murder trial of Edwin Daniels. He is accused of murdering a Tulsa teenager in a case of mistaken identity. The incident took place just over two years ago.

17-year-old Kayla Ferrante was riding in her boyfriend's car when police say Daniels mistook the car as one belonging to a rival gang member. That is when he fired. The girl was struck by a bullet and later died.

She was on her way home from a date. She had just graduated, earlier in the week,  from Tulsa's Memorial High School.
