Mother, Boyfriend Face Child Neglect Charge in Child's Death

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — The mother of an infant and her boyfriend have been charged with child neglect following the child's death.

The Tulsa World reports that 23-year-old Anna Marie Hyden and 52-year-old Kevin Lee Crawford were charged on Friday in connection with the death of Hyden's 6-month-old son, Arrow Hyden.

Authorities responded to reports of an infant apparently in cardiac arrest on January 16th. The infant was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An affidavit filed in the case indicates Hyden had moved with Crawford and her baby into a shed behind a residence in November. Police say the shed had no running water and was powered by an extension cord from the residence.

Police described living conditions as "deplorable," and that trash, chemicals and filth littered the shed.
